Pepino
Friendly and curious, 5 year old gelding; very muscular. A little frisky but exciting ride. He is new to the barn, so he is still getting acquainted with everyone.

Colorado
Sweetest horse on the planet. You are lucky to get him as the owners usually like to take him for a ride. He can store a 1/2 pound of grain in his bottom lip, Pretty cool; 11 year old gelding, One of the larger horses at the ranch.

Alejandra
Rescued about 2 years ago from a neglectful owner. Look at her now! She is a 5 year old mare and the reigning ruler of her section of the pasture. Very easy to ride.
| Shaggy
The most beautiful horse at the ranch. He is mostly Peruvian Paso Fino; which means he has a smooth, even gait. He is 7 years old and has been at the ranch for about 4 years. He was very shy at first; and is still difficult to catch, but he loves his bananas.
| Bosky
Or 'Buckskin'. Very mild mannered horse, will just go along with the flow on a ride. He is a 15 year old gelding--one of the easiest to ride. |

Cliff
Cliff is a 6 year old gelding and has been at the ranch since December 2008. He was pretty healthy when he arrived but was still considered a rescue, as he is blind in one eye. He is my favorite horse as he is a quarter mile/paso fina mix, loves attention, and has a smooth even gait. Since he never has to walk on the edge of a canyon trail, the blindness is not an issue.
| El Duke
El Duke is an old gentile soul, or so we thought. He is a sweet horse, but not as old as we were told originally--he has just had a rough, hard life. He is about 12 years old and great for the kids to ride. There is no 'drama' while riding Duke, he just follows along with the crowd. |
Louisa
Louisa has been off the road for a while--since she is pregnant. She is expected to foal in a couple of months.

Lulu
Lulu arrived at the ranch with her little filly. The filly had to go back to the previous owner but Lulu was allowed to stay. A little shy at first, and keeps to herself, but has become a favorite horse of ranch hands and guests. She is tall and sleek, very curious and fun to ride; an 11 year old mare, Cliff's favorite until Pimienta arrived. |
Pimienta
This is Lulu's rival for Cliff's affection. She is the new mare on the block, about 11 years old. New to the trails, so she needs a little encouragement, if she is asked to lead. If Cliff is not with her on the ride we all get to hear about it when she gets back. A nice easy horse to ride. |
Gordo
This picture is very miss leading. Gordo does live up to his name--he is a strong, round horse. He is a buddy of Colorado and Alejandra, and usually takes the larger riders. |

The Stinker Girl
I admit, it is not the most flattering name, but it just stuck. She was a very sad rescue--bony and with gouges on her back. She is doing much better now, and is great with the kids, as she is small and gentile. You can read more about her on my blog--she is about 13 years old. |
Louisa and Tornado
Louisa has finally had her little colt.He is a couple of weeks old in this picture. He is very sweet and already hanging out with the other horses. His dad is a Paso Fino so we have high hopes for this little guy. |
Sugar
Very sweet young mare, about 3 years old. She has a little growing up and training ahead of her. Good for kids; and she loves her food, so we think she is going to fill out nicely. |
